(1)不可用手將兔毛提起使皮膚凸出體面。因兔的皮膚很松軟，如果提起很容易將皮膚剪破。(2)剪毛時要將皮膚繃緊，貼著皮膚剪，不剪二刀毛，留下的毛茬力求整齊。(3)遇有結(jié)氈兔毛時，要先將氈塊垂直剪開成條，然后再從基部沿皮膚剪下。(4)剪腹部毛時，要先撥出乳頭一圈的毛再剪，使乳頭明顯露出，以防剪破乳頭。剪公兔毛時，大腿內(nèi)側(cè)注意不要傷及器官。剪妊娠兔毛時，注意腹部的毛不要剪，供其產(chǎn)仔拉毛營巢用。母兔分娩前5天不要剪毛。(5)如不小心剪破了皮膚，要及時涂抹碘酊和粉，以防感染。(6)冬季不要一次將毛剪完，以防受寒感冒。剪毛后要防冷風吹襲，并注意保暖。(7)剪毛后要及時補充足夠的營養(yǎng)和飲水。
